Cookie Policy

Extended Cookie Policy
This notice is provided in compliance with Art. 13 of EU Regulation No. 679/2016 (GDPR), as well as the provisions of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei dati personali) No. 229 of May 8, 2014, and No. 231 of June 10, 2021, along with subsequent measures. On this page, the management methods of the website concerning the use of cookies and the related processing of users' personal data are described.

WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text strings that websites visited by the user send to their terminal (desktop, tablet, smartphone, notebook), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on the user's next visit. During navigation on a site, the user may also receive cookies sent by different sites or web servers (so-called "third parties") on which some elements (such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) may reside.Cookies are used for various purposes, such as computer authentication, session monitoring, and storing information about sites. Without the use of "technical" cookies, some operations would be very complex or impossible to perform. The Italian Data Protection Authority's Provision No. 229/2014 divides cookies into two categories:

1) Technical Cookies
Technical cookies allow easy use of the website and facilitate the retrieval of information, simplifying the connection and data transmission between the user and the site. The user's prior consent is not required for the installation of these cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed or the logout command is executed.

Technical cookies can be divided into:- Navigation cookies (or session cookies), which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (e.g., allowing the completion of a purchase or authentication with subsequent access to the user's reserved area);- Analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies, when used directly by the site manager to collect aggregated information on the number of users and how they visit the site, improve site content, monitor correct operation, and facilitate user use;- Functionality cookies, which improve the user's experience on the site by allowing navigation based on criteria selected by the user (such as site language).

2) Profiling Cookies
These cookies are used to trace specific actions or behavioral patterns to identified or identifiable individuals, grouping their profiles to allow the data controller to tailor the service more and more personally and send targeted advertising messages based on user preferences expressed during web browsing. The user's prior consent is required for the use of profiling cookies.

Furthermore, cookies can be classified as follows:
- Session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browsing browser is closed (e.g., Safari, Chrome, Firefox);- Persistent cookies, which remain within the browser for a specified period (e.g., used by advertisers to record a user's web browsing habits for an extended period or to keep users logged into their accounts on websites without having to enter login credentials with each new visit).

And, also as follows:

- First-party cookies, sent directly to the user's browser by the site they are visiting;- Third-party cookies, generated and managed by a website other than the one the user is visiting. This is because each site may have elements (such as images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, or analytics cookies) that reside on servers different from the one visited. Third-party cookies fall under the direct and exclusive responsibility of the third-party manager; therefore, regarding their installation, the first-party site manager assumes the role of a mere technical intermediary.
